Exercise 6: Use target words in writing
On a separate sheet, write a short account of a real or an imagined news event. Be sure to tell what happened, when and where it occurred, and who was involved. Include at least three target words in your account.
Target words: disagree, disrespect, illegal, improper, incomplete, irreplaceable, misgiving, mistreat, nonstop, nonviolence, unaware, uncommon.

Exercise 6: Write an adventure story and read it aloud
work with a group of three or four classmates. Together, write a short adventure story, using at least four of the target words. One member of the group should record the story on paper. When the story is finished, have another group member read it aloud to your class.
As the various stories are read, write down the target words that each group used. Did you all use the same target words? Which words, if any, were not used by any groups? which words, if any, were used by all groups?
